Recipe: How to make Meatballs stuffed with veggies?
What are Meatballs? Meatballs are ground meat rolled into a small ball, sometimes along with other ingredients, such as bread crumbs, minced onion, eggs, butter, and seasoning. Meatballs are cooked by frying, baking, steaming, or braising in sauce. There are many types of meatballs using different types of meats and spices
- Fresh bread
- Shallot (1)
- Carrot (1)
- Stalk of celery (1)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 600 g ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Large mixing bowl
- Garlic press
- Deep plate
- Chopper machine
- Baking pan
- Parchment paper
Step 1: In deep plate, place a couple of slices of fresh bread. Cover with milk and set aside.
Step 2: Using a chopper machine, chop the shallot, the carrot, and the celery. Saute the chopped veggies with 3 tbsp olive oil into a small non-stick pot over medium heat. Once cooked transfer to a plate and allow to cool completely.
Step 3: Meanwhile, into a big mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, the egg, add 2 minced garlic cloves, salt & pepper to taste. Squeeze well and add the bread. Add previously sauteed vegetables. Mix well using your hands.
Step 4: Preheat the oven at 200 Celsius degrees. Cover a baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 5: Oil your hands, and start to form the meatballs. Place your meatballs on the baking pan and bake them for about 40 minutes at 200 Celsius degrees or until golden brown
