Wondering what is the most popular Appetizer? I have an option to consider for you – A classic Italian appetizer or ‘antipasto’ – called Bruschetta. As it has a variety of options, my favorite one is with Tomato and Basil, and the best thing here is the time you need to prepare it. You literally need a couple of minutes to enjoy it. It is as simple as it sounds, a mixture of chopped tomatoes, basil leaves, and garlic spooned over olive-oil brushed slices of grilled baguette or rustic bread. Let me show you how I do it.
- Chop the tomatoes
- Chop the basil leaves
- Add chopped tomatoes and basil leaves into a container
- Add Olive oil and salt to the taste and mix it up.
- Slice 1/2 baguette
- Use a medium heat and a grill pan for your baguette slices
- Rub the bread with garlic cloves
- Dress the bread slices with your tomato and basil mixture
